KeyCredit Version History
The following is a summary of improvements and new features added to the current and previous versions of KeyCredit.
KeyCredit 3.0
- The KeyCredit Data file no longer has a fixed location. On a server network, it can reside on a server, which allows the data file to be shared between multiple people and backed up as part of regular server backups.
The KeyCredit Data file can also be shared between computers without a separate server.
- Days Past Due has been changed to Status History to be in compliance with the Metro 2 standard.
- Password protection has been added.
- A place to enter the affiliate’s Tax ID (EIN) has been added to Affiliate Setup. The Employer Identification Number (EIN) provided to the affiliate by the IRS will become the affiliate’s major identification method to both Credit Reporting Agencies and MTD.
- The File > Print option can be used to send previewed reports to an alternate printer or to create PDF files using Cute PDF,
- Previewed reports can be exported to Microsoft Word or Excel using the included toolbar buttons.
- Database Selection allows you to switch to a copy of your database, which you can use as a training environment or to evaluate the impact of various scenarios without altering your live database.
- System Information has been added to the Help menu so you can quickly locate files and folders related to KeyCredit and provide system information to assist technical support.
- A Support option (Help > Support > E-mail MTD Support) has been added to the Help menu, which creates an e-mail message using Outlook, addresses it to MTD Support, attaches system information, and opens it so you can add your support request message and send it to MTD Support.
- The Help menu has been expanded to include links to the MTD Help Center and Online Remote Support.
- The KeyCredit Data file is automatically compacted and repaired on a monthly basis.
- The KeyCredit Help library has been greatly expanded and its search capabilities improved.
KeyCredit 2.0
- The name was changed from 'Habitrak Credit Reporting' to 'KeyCredit'.
- KeyCredit was upgraded to Microsoft Access 2003.
- It required the use of Keystone (formerly known as Habitrak).
- The Credit Reporting Agencies being reported to were expanded to include Equifax.
- A KeyCredit Help library was created that could be used locally or on the MTD Web Site.
- Automatic generation of the e-mail to the consolidator (MTD) with the transmittal file attachment was added.
- Support was provided for the industry Dispute Management system (e-OSCAR - the Online Solution for Complete and Accurate Reporting).
KeyCredit 1.0 (formerly known as Habitrak Credit Reporting)
KeyCredit 1.0 was written in Microsoft Access 97 during the year of 2000. It required Habitrak at that time and was called Habitrak Credit Reporting (HCR). The first time it was used for reporting was December 2000. The only Credit Reporting Agency reported to at that time was TransUnion.
